Vince Vouyer Leaves Red Light District
Vince Vouyer, owner of Vouyer Productions and one of the founders of Red Light District, Wednesday he is leaving Red Light to pursue other options.
Vouyer helped get Red Light District started in the fall of 2001. He said that after four-plus years with the popular gonzo company that he is ready for another challenge.

“I am looking for a new home,” Vouyer said. “I will be done releasing through Red Light District and Platinum X at the end of December. There are a lot of reasons why, but I do not think they matter. I think the company’s taking a different direction, one that I don’t really care for. We were growing apart.”

Red Light District president David Joseph wished Vouyer well.

“I feel we built all this together,” Joseph said. “I understand. I figured one day this was going to happen because he’s always wanted to go do other things, so I wish him the best and I’ll always consider him a good friend of mine. Personally, it bums me out because we’re friends, but this is business and I respect it. I respect him and I know he respects me. If I can do anything to help him in the future, I will.”

Vouyer, an industry veteran who has won AVN awards both as a performer and a producer, has released over 50 titles through Red Light District and eight through Platinum X. His most popular lines are the AVN award-winning Breakin 'Em In, Cum Drippers, Multiple POV and Cum Glazed. He also produces and directs series such as O-Ring Blowout, Just Another Whore, Road Head and Young Ripe Melons.

While at Red Light, Vouyer ran the production department for three-and-a-half years before stepping out of that role in August.

“My next few months will be very interesting to see what transpires,” Vouyer said. “I’m not really looking at any particular place. If a good deal presents itself, who knows what could happen? One thing is for sure that wherever I go I’ll be making what I’m known to make. ... I am sure I will continue some series.”

November has been marked by changes at Red Light, which saw director/performer Erik Everhard leave for Evil Angel before recently closing a distribution deal with director Michael Ninn and Ninn Worx.

Vouyer, whose final Red Light District release will be Cum Glazed 4 in December, added, “It’s been a fun ride. I had a blast.”

Vince Vouyer and Steve Orenstein Form New Company Vouyer Media

Debunking Internet rumors that he was going to Wicked Pictures to direct for the company, Vince Vouyer, along with Wicked president Steve Orenstein, announced today that they have formed a brand new company, Vouyer Media, designed to produce superior gonzo features shot in high definition.

“I was toying with going into the gonzo market for some time,” Orenstein told. “I read that Vince had left Red Light and they wished him well. We happened to be at the same place at the same time and struck up a conversation.”

The company has been formed as an equal partnership, with Vouyer handling all of the productions and Orenstein overseeing the day-to-day sales, billing, marketing, etc. Industry veteran Tony Cleary will handle sales for the new company and Bonnie Kail will handle domestic sales for Wicked.

“I was just leaving my last gig, with no intentions of partnering up,” Vouyer said. “After e-mails from about 10 companies, I took an ad in the January AVN just to say I was moving. I didn’t know where.

“I wasn’t looking for a distribution deal like I had at Red Light,” he continued. “So Steve and I had been looking for the same thing and the timing was perfect.”

“I have some of the best directors in the business doing what I do, features,” Orenstein said. “But here’s a guy who has been doing gonzo very successfully for a long time. And when we talked, we said the same things. We believe in quality and integrity and there should be nothing that’s degrading to women. So we share those same values.”

The first release, a Vouyer-directed title called The Gauntlet, takes its female leads through a surprise voyage where they’re involved in a gauntlet of sexual situations as they move from room to room, not knowing what’s behind each door. The sexual situations include group sex, cream pies, d.p., girl/girl sex, cum swallowing, etc. The high-definition, DVD only release stars the beautiful Maya, Mollie, Jenni Morrison, Ivanna and Chelsea and streets on February 13.

“It’s about the women, not about the guys,” Vouyer said, emphasizing the company’s protocol. “Sometimes we even chop the guy’s head off.”

While Vouyer won’t be directing every release (others such as Tim Von Swine will be shooting for the company), he will oversee and produce every release. The packaging will include the O-card that some companies are using now and will be embossed.

“I’m very excited because I’ve known Vince for about 10 years, but we never really talked business,” Orenstein emphasized. “And when I met with him and realized we were looking for the same things, everything fell into place.”

The second title from Vouyer Media, Make Me Creamy, directed by Vouyer, is a multiple cream-pie release where Renee Richards performs her first such scene. That hits the market on Feb. 27.

The Gauntlet

Vouyer Media, the new company created by Vouyer Productions President & Owner Vince Vouyer to produce high definition gonzo productions, has announced the debut of their first release The Gauntlet.

Directed by Vouyer The Gauntlet follows three newcomers, Maya, Nollie, and Chelsea, as they walk through a gauntlet of varied sexual situations, moving from one room to the next without ever knowing what lie behind each waiting door.

The DVD only release arrives on store shelves February 15th, and is packaged in a special embossed O-card.

After this debut release, Vouyer Media titles for the remainder of February will include Make Me Creamy, a continuation of the style he used with Red Light District’s Cum Drippers, with Vouyer again calling the shots, and The

Mope Squad from director Tim Von Swine. Noting that a mope is traditionally defined as an underachiever, Vouyer shares his enthusiasm for this new release by observing in a statement that it "really twists the usual situations. Rather than having the girls come in to prove they have what it takes to succeed, we have the girls making the guys prove themselves. The movie's turned out really well."

After these releases hit retailers, Vouyer's next title in the pipeline is a "newer girl" themed DVD called Who's That Girl? that's scheduled to drop in March.

AVN Senior Associate Editor HEIDI JOY PIKE sees THE GAUNTLET as a harbinger of great things to come from the new production house, calling the DVD "a good first outing from a hot new company with a lot of potential!" From imagination of director Tim Von Swine comes The Mope Squad, a new gonzo release from Vouyer Media.
